  4. Walt Mossberg Reviews Gogo In-flight Wi-fi (verdict: Fast, But Not Fast Enough) - Gogo - Gizmodo

Walt just tested GoGo, the in-flight Wi-Fi service, on a bunch of laptops and smartphones during a flight from San Francisco to Denver. The service distributes, via Wi-Fi, a high speed cellphone data signal pointed at airplanes, which Mossy rated at around 600kbps down and 250kbps up. This was quick enough for Walt to browse the web, send emails with iPhone rumor attachments, and talk on IM to his ladies, but it couldn't keep up with streaming video on Xtube Hulu. Also, VoIP is blocked, and cell calls aren't possible

  5. Sub-$500 128gb Drive From Ocz May Be The Ssd You've Been Saving For - Hard Drive - Gizmodo

OCZ's new Core Series SSD's are designed to be large and affordable. So the new 2.5-inch SATA II flash drives are coming in 128GB, 64GB and 32GB sizes at $479, $259 and $169 respectively. They don't match up to the 200Mbps read speeds Samsung has promised—managing 135Mbs— but that price point is pretty low. And while they're too big to drop into the smallest laptops (MacBook Air owners will weep), they might be just the ticket for people looking to cheaply upgrade to SSD—OCZ claim ten times faster than their

  8. Hidden Batcave Raises From The Underground To Reveal Shiny Lamborghinis - Batman - Gizmodo

Holy Batman on a bat-pogo bat-stick. I don't know where this underground garage is located—and probably I will never know since it's perfectly camouflaged under a stoned driveway—but who cares. Now that I know that you can build a hidden underground cave in real life, one with an hydraulic system that can lift it to reveal two Lamborghinis, I just care about one thing: Painting my rubber chicken outfit in black and adding pointy ears to the mask. [Thanks Ed!]
